I'm having problems with some java - it transpires that the far end (it's a
messaging system) only supports upto java 1.6.0_27.
I'm running Debian Jessie (wheezy had some problems) which has
java version "1.7.0_45"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.4.3) (7u45-2.4.3-4)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 24.45-b08, mixed mode)
How do I install 1.6.0_27?
Cheers,
Martin.

Note running 32 bit on 64 bit h/w.
Did the update/upgrade to get the latest squeeze packages.
Changed sources to wheezy, then another update/upgrade.
However, apt-get dist-upgrade gives the following. It seems to be a common
error that has been fixed..
E: Could not perform immediate configuration on 'libgd-gd2-perl'. Please see
man 5 apt.conf under APT::Immediate-Configure for details. (2
Bit of a showstopper! Any help gratefully received!
Martin.
