Hi Peter, I have a Moto G as well. I haven't had problems charging it but I
always use a mains usb plug with a decent cable, more often than not the
one supplied with the phone.
I've charged with supplies varying from 700mA to 2A with no problem.
Regards,
Adrian

I second this. My Moto G has had no problems charging from a 5V supplies
with a variety of current ratings, including mains USB chargers, so I
would say that the Moto G (at least my unit) is not very picky about the
supply, as long as it is 5V.

Just remembered reading this article a few days ago, not sure if the
section "Battery issues" might help.

Thanks, I had found that as well but its not my exact problem.
Update:
I have left an email with motorola and contacted phone support at Tesco
Direct!
They advised me to fully discharge and try again - maybe the sort of
problem in article but I do not get any varying charge state.
They also suggested a full reset but I have now downloaded some large
apps via my capped usage ISP, so I wanted to back it up. Tried Windoze
XP with motorola "Device Manager" and it keeps trying to update but will
not run!
If Motorola cannot/will not sort it out, I will take it back later this
week with my 2 PS's and ask Tesco to get it to work or replace!
I do not want to keep messing about trying to get a "right" PS
especially as others did not have a problem.
Regards

Hi
Bring the phone and your chargers on tues and I'll do the same. We can
then see if it's the phone or the charger.
