I left message on Skype forum a week or so ago, no replies but lots of
reads!).

I just had a play (FC18) with gnome Desktop and it kept booting.
Its not in start up applications, or the gnome configuration files or logs.
Tried several times and it was constant.

Realized I had other Desktops to try! so tried Cinnamon
- it worked OK on several boots (opened Skype then quit then rebooted or
logged out then in).

Tried LXDE and that worked

So I thought it must be Gnome and tried again and......................
..............................

its now working!

Tried it several times and it still works.

I assume there was something saved as a previous session an now it isn't!?

I dunno much about these things, who said Linux was stable and reliable!
(a joke)
