Seems it was broken in FC17 (so Alex cannot use my scanner either!):

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=888459

(A library problem)

It seems to be also broken on my FC18 maybe I should upgrade!

How do I check for this same problem on other releases easily?

Regards

Hmm. Maybe, but it could just be coincidence.

I'd try strace'ing it. I see iscan itself is a plugin for GIMP, so you'll
need to strace GIMP (which will make things much noisier than necessary) and
tell strace to follow child processes:

strace -f -efile gimp

Kick off a scan, and see what file it tries and fails to open when it gives
the 'not enough disk space' error.

If it is a libpng error, then it looks as though the available build of
iscan is plain broken.
