Hi,
Is a long time since I played with drivers!
I have a V500 (won on ebay) and its not recognised on my Fedora 18 386
box which thought would be the case.
I tried to install iscan and it complains that it doesn't have library
libltdl.so.3.
I cannot find this rpm for fedora 18 but found an so.7! which doesn't
work (I assume iscan will only work with so.3).
Is there a way to get the library if so how?
Thanks

Hi
We have had meetings, and we currently have a provisional event date of
Saturday 22nd March which intentionally coincides with our scheduled
March LUG meeting. For now the most likely venue for the event seems
too be The Trinity Centre ( http://www.3ca.org.uk/ ), however a final
venue decision will be made at a meeting on Thursday 24th October.
Regards
Sebastian

Hi,
I'm offering myself to help in setup, organisation or preparation in any
way required. I've spoken to Peter about the website, but to reiterate, if
someone throws me concrete information, I'll get it online.
Additionally, if the venue requires funding, a friend of mine runs a crowd
funding website (http://gogetfunding.com). I may recommend that in lieu of
sponsorship.
Regards,
Marc

Ok awesome :), but too be clear do you mean more than just the website
or not?

Well the date I gave is when the event is likely too be, and for most
venues going too need more funding.

Before you go overboard: This is by no means guaranteed to work, but you might try symlinking the .so.7 file to a similarly named .so.3 (and perhaps an .so)

OK
I am not experienced at playing with libraries, I was going to copy the
.so.7 file and rename it as so.3! Would that be bad practice?
Just to clarify, did you mean make a simlink named .so.3 and point it
to the so.7?
It seems that the V500 was supported but not any longer and the Linux
drivers for iscan have been removed from the site!
I will continue looking though and might find the original so.3
somewhere.
