Subject: [bristol] HELP - OO cannot print A5!

Hi,
I need to print some A5 leaflets from an old leaflet odt file and cannot
do it any longer.
I set the page in OO to A5 and orientation to Portrait OK but when I got
to print and view printer properties it is set to A4 landscape and
"greyed out" so cannot change it.
I think this has happened somehow in an upgrade as it used to work!
I had this problem a long time ago but cannot remember what caused it,
I must admit to doing the windoze thing and re-installed the printer
(Epson R300), but it still will not print.
Any ideas on how to sort it out?
Thanks

Try print to PDF and see if you can change the page settings once that's
selected. Should tell you whether its the printer or OO which is
uncooperative.

Exported odf A5 page as pdf, closed OO writer then re-opened odf.
All OO format seems OK (A5 Portrait) but when I come to look at Printer
Settings/Printer Setup/Properties/Properties of Stylus-Photo-R300, I
get Paper Size A4 (greyed out), Orientation Portrait (greyed out) and
Paper tray Standard.
So can I assume its the driver (I have have already deleted and
re-installed the printer)?

Peter
Are you wanting to print on a piece of A5 paper, or print a A5 image on
A4 paper?

a4 is two peices of a5 next to each other.
i would create a new a4 document and copy/paste in two of the a5
documents then try to print.
i think your printer is refusing to accept a single a5 because it
only has a4 paper.
Cheers

No, it can (could!) print A5 directly even if it had A4 sheets in the
feeder (the feeder width can be adjusted)
