Hello everyone!
My name is Miquel Domenech and as you can guess I'm not English. I'm
from Spain, but I've been living in Bristol since 2009.
I've been always interested in Open Source technologies, but because I
was living in Spain and there, people were not that supportive to Open
Source I found myself in the realms of Microsoft.
But everything changed when I arrived to England. To make things short
I found a job in Bath when I arrived, but after that I was unemployed
for 2 years. Then my partner and I started Ambiente Flamenco that is a
Flamenco (Spanish dance) related company.
Then is when I started getting involved with the Open source. I have
my own hosting and I take care of all aspects of my IT infrastructure.
But I'm finding quite hard to look for good resources and help. So one
day looking on internet I found this group and I though that can be
good to joint the mailing list and to meet with all of you in one of
your meetings.
I would like to attend to your next meeting that is this next
Saturday. Please let me know if that is ok.
I hope that is ok to just check what is going on on the mailing list,
before I start asking questions. I would like to see first how things
work.
Well I hope to see you all this next Saturday, if I'm welcome of course;)
Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Miquel Domenech Pretus

Hi Miquel
Yes you are welcome to come along this Saturday to the Knights Templar
Pub. I suggest not turning up until 1:30pm by the earliest since you
are new, and that's when at least someone else will probably be there
as well. I probably won't be there until about 2/3pm myself though..
We sit on the lower level at the back when entering the pub, or near
there instead if someone else is already there. I assume that you
already received the LUG meeting is coming up email that I sent out on
Tuesday.
Which distribution/s have you been using and when and why? Although
people can have discussions like that a the LUG meeting itself anyway.
Ok see you this Saturday probably.
Regards
Sebastian
