Well, been there; done that; and not yet it hasn't :(

I've already skipped one car bootload of DTP stuff (just abut everything
you can think of, including some very esoteric mags) dating all the way
back to 1984, because no interest.

I'm now preparing another car bootload of purely Linux magazines, if
anyone's evern remotely interested.

It's a shame to bin them, because they're in excellent nick; and I know
from amateur radio experience that in 70 years' time people will be
bemoaning the fact that nothing was kept -- but these days everyone's
too busy playing with the latest smartphone app. to bother about
actually reading any long discursive text.

[I dread getting to when I have to unload my collection(s) of 5.25"
floppy disks, 3.5" disks, CDs and DVDs (several thousand) -- I have a
fairly complete collection of Debian releases on CD which it would be a
desperate shame to bin. Not to mention a whole load of hard-drives no
loner needed....]

Well, that's annoying. I've shut off all external access except mail
until they figure out the attack vector, hopefully that will be enough.

Matt.

Yes, welcome indeed!
There's still at least one even though I am rarely in Bristol on Saturdays now.

I might be interested in some of them depending on which ones they are.
However really I am trying to get rid of things at times myself in
general as well, and lots of magazines really can take up quite a lot of
space.

The Debian CD collection I might be interested in, well if they are
proper official published CD's, but if not probably not.

Why are you getting rid of all these things now?

Regards

Sebastian

At a quick glance :
- Linux Format
- Linux Magazine
principally; plus probably lots of others, from the early 90s onwards.
I really can't tell you in detail, because I probably haven't found them
all yet.

[How's about a garage full ?]

They're all "official" issue, as you call it.

> Why are you getting rid of all these things now?

Because I'm getting old.
I no longer teach; run training courses; or develop software; and I'm
not going to use this stuff ever again.
(I have a library of Linux books which will have to go, too.)

Life's like that.
