I think generally one of us invovled with the organisation of the event, is
going to have to sort out a proper amount of USB's in another way, as in
getting them, but also putting Ubuntu 16.04 onto them, and I won't be
burning onto USB's myself. If it comes to it, we will just go without
USB's or DVD's I think, even though the descriptoin said that there would
be USB's or DVD's. Also the amount set was a little high at 60 in my other
email to this mailing ist, 30 would be more realsitic. Shame that calling
out for USB's to this mailing list hasn't been successful like two or three
years ago and the past event.

It's not that surprising. The last event probably used up all the ones that people had lying around.

If you don't get donations, USB flash drives can be bought reasonably cheaply in bulk on eBay (under £2/stick for 4 GB) Whilst it would be nice to be able to give them out free, asking recipients to pay £2 to cover the cost of a 4 GB USB stick at the event doesn't seem unreasonable (or they can have a CD/DVD for free, maybe), and it would mean that it would be sustainable in the long term if you wished to organise the event again.
