Channel 5?s ?The Gadget Show? did a review of online photo printing services a year or so ago. The results are probably still on their website. I remember that there was a significant variation in the quality of the results.

Most online and in-store photos printers allow you to crop the photos if you wish to. If you have already dropped them as you want them it would be straightforward to upload and print. Having to re-crop them on a terminal in-store or online will not be as fast as doing it at home though.

Just taken them to Jessops/Boots.

OK but I thought I would ask just in case it could be done easily!

Do you use Jessops/boots if so did they crop photos?

Hi,

I have (eventually) sorted my photos from the last 5 years and over
200 I now want printing!

Has anyone experiences in doing this using Linux if so, any
advice?

I am after a reasonable quality but NOT professional and would
prefer a semi matte finish. My photos are all 3x2 ratio so would I
loose some part on standard print sizes or do some printer do this
ratio?

3:2 is the standard 35mm film aspect ratio, so print at 4x6, 8x12, 10x15 or
12x18 (or, of course, 2x3) and you'll have nothing cropped.

Best Regards,
Alex
