Hi
It's nearly that time again :) for another BBLUG meeting :) this
Saturday the 24th :). However this time round it's the August one, and
I thought it was quite good last year, because of interesting visitors
:). I hope there will be a good turn out for this years :) of at least
five people other than myself. However the big question is: Who is
planning on being there other than myself? :)
I am hoping to meet more than just regulars this Saturday with also
hopefully some people who don't tend to come often :), and ideally
hopefully some new people as well :).
Apparently we got about 200 or so lurkers on this mailing list, but if
you are a lurker or someone who is mainly a lurker on this mailing list,
why not come join us this Saturday for the LUG meeting? If you are
otherwise anyway going to be in Bristol or the surrounding area and can
make it? :)
We also welcome new people to the meeting's, so no need to feel that you
are too new to come, if you only joined this mailing list quite recently
for example.
We have a mixture of people of different ages as well, from 20's onwards
basically at the moment.
We meet up between 12:30pm/1pm to about 4/5pm at the Knights Templar pub
near Temple Meads train station, which also isn't that far away from the
city centre. People turn up when they turn up and leave when they
leave. Usually at least someone is there about 1pm, and people tend to
leave around 4pm, but depending on what happens it may be about 5pm or
later instead.

We sit on the lower level at the back when entering the pub, and usually
in the left corner by the plugs, and if not there very near there instead.
Food, drinks, chatting :), people with their laptops etc, with FREE pub
wifi available for those that would like it, but also sometimes showing
of Linux/tech related things that people have bought along with them :)
that will probably be of interest to other people that are there :). It
may be called a Linux user group meeting, but it doesn't mean we just
chat Linux or opensource/freesoftware in general all the time, other
things get talked about as well, and the meetings are informal. What is
talked about really depends on who is there etc.
I hope to meet more of you this Saturday :).
Sebastian
