I have had a bit of success:
Found "Boxes" had to have Harmony R/C plugged in to detect it as a
device then I had to switch it on via the 3 lined top right menu button
and it was in Properties > Devices.
Harmony app worked but would not syc (went up to 80%).
Found windows needed updating!! .....
after quite a few minutes I tried again and it got up to 99% sync waited
about 10 minutes and unplugged the R/C.
(Prayed)
It seems to work OK, I had an old Samsung Blu Ray still configured on
the R/C and it was working on my newer Sony!! I have now deleted the old
Blu Ray and configured the new one.
So to sum up, the simpler Gnome "Boxes" can update Harmony R/Cs (well in
my case) assuming you know how to use it!
If I get really brave I might try the Garmin later.
PS the VM still has no sound but for what I am using window for, it is
not a problem.
Regards
