From where I am Bath is not even accessible from public transport it
means having to travel to a train station first or into Bristol first to
get a bus. Also I live in one of the main places just outside North
Bristol.
As a result for me anyway Bath is not really a convenient place to have
a venue for our installfest. Some where in the centre of Bristol or just
outside the centre, or in North Bristol or just outside North Bristol,
would be good though :).
To be clear we are still interested for venue suggestions in Bath though.
Regards
Sebastian

Hamilton house may well be worth a look, I know Amias used to be involved
there. Also it's cheaper than stuff thats been listed before. There is a
price list here

How about council buildings - e.g. in Harbourside there's or use to be one above Jack's bar before it closed. Don't know about connections or equipment though. Also, ironically I've never been to @Bristol - I've seen lectures advertised though ... How much of a possibility is it that they have tables and chairs? Then lectures starts me thinking of university - what are rates like for Bristol University?
I'll do a little investigation unless someone beats me to it.
The other thing which occurs to me is are we likely to get 20-30 people, and if we did and there's 4 of us that is still 5-8 each!

Hi All,
Hope you don't mind me offering suggestions but having organised the
ITMegaMeet & helping with the 2014 one I've learnt a bit re organising
events.
Suggest, one option is to get on board an organisation or two or even more
who could pay for hiring an accessible venue for your group eg. Know Bris
Uni and a few companies paid towards the hiring of the @ Bristol venue for
the recent Rasp Pi and Bris Ruby on Rails Girls workshop days held in the
summer.
Know both UWE and Bris Uni have/promote Linux machines. Maybe you could
approach them or others re venue hire - they'd ofcourse want you to promote
them eg. with their logos, a sort of sponsorship.
Indu
