Hi All

I'm trying to set up Mythtv with a freeview tuner and I can't find a functional
"grabber" programme for downloading a programme guide
- Radio Times is shut down and moved to Atlas
- Atlas won't give out API keys for personal use
- bleb (whoever they are) only has a small subset of the channels
- guardian won't run (incompatible with my version of XMLTV::Supplement)
- tvguide won't run (incompatible with my version of XMLTV::Supplement)

Is anyone using Mythtv with freeview and, if so, which EPG grabber are you
using?

Regards
Dave

I use Schedules direct (http://schedulesdirect.org/) with the xmltv
grabber tv_grab_sd_json.

tvheadend is a much, much better backend than mythtv:
https://tvheadend.org/

I spent weeks tearing my hair out with mythtv and it never worked as I
wanted it to.

I am not saying it is perfect, but for recording DVD-T2, it is much closer
to a drop in solution than mythtv.

kodi supports it too.

happy user)

The built-in EPG. Adequate for my needs, YMMV.
