Yes, your BIOS version (2.05) is old, the current version appears to
be 2.27. See
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/migr-63027#notes for a
bootable CD for updating the BIOS. I will leave it to you, to decide
if you want to update your BIOS.

No, idea, I personally would update the BIOS, to eliminate the BIOS as
a possible problem. Then you would know.
