Hi,
Sorry I thought I replied but I am getting on a bit and may have forgot!
I think I did a BIOS upgrade with no improvement then did a fresh
install and it worked.

It seems to be working OK (checked no nouveau and nvidea driver loaded),
however I have a couple of red nasties in dmesg:
[ 35.063457] gnome-shell[1478]: segfault at 1 ip 00007f3647170b37 sp
00007fffdba60fb0 error 4 in libX11.so.6.3.0[7f364712e000+13b000]
[ 36.615473] gnome-shell[1634]: segfault at 8 ip 00007fb3be1acb37 sp
00007ffd773a10a0 error 4 in libX11.so.6.3.0[7fb3be16a000+13b000]
Not sure why this is happening as I thought the procedure remove X11 stuff.
Will have to read it all again but in the meantime any "pearls" would be
helpful!
Regards
