Hi
Slowly been getting that lap top sorted out (since lack of interest) since other things, however would be nice to bring it properly set up to this coming Saturdays LUG Meeting.
The Windows 8.1 install got upgraded rather soon to Windows 10 after being offered the upgrade, and for a version of Windows it generally does seem like a proper improvement especially with the multiple desktops feature, and a default browser that apparently has a possibly much more standards compliment rendering engine than the old IE.
I did the upgrade of Windows first and then sorted out my partitions properly and set up my big separate /home and swap space (which may be quite a bit bigger, then it needs to be, since I got 8GB RAM in there), and then I installed a proper install of Ubuntu 15.04. I am going to psych alley install the latest stable version of Fedora next, followed by Mageia 5. Then that's it my multi boot is done, other OS's will be done in Virtualbox. For fun I am going to even play around with an Android Emulator or two it seems, so can run Android apps on lap top.
Something I am wondering about though is how that efibootmgr is actually used? Since it seems to be some sort of terminal program.
Regards
Sebastian
